Grading the President

A few weeks ago President Obama was asked by Oprah Winfrey to grade his first year as President and he gave himself a B+.  That seems like grade erosion to the Forgotten Man and Toby Harnden at UK Guardian agrees.  In Barack Obama Gets an F for Protecting Americans, Harnden points out "There is no more solemn duty for an American commander-in-chief than the marshalling of  “all elements of American power” – the phrase Obama himself used on Monday – to protect the people of the United States." Harnden goes on to describe many of the missed signs that should have prevented the attack on flight 253.  Let's hope President Obama has matured a little in the first year so we can regain our strength as a nation.  A good New Years resolution for him might be to avoid apologies to the world for all of our countries alleged misdeeds.
